Things to Know Before You Book

Cure Time & Appearance

  • Fresh tint isn't flawless right away. Small bubbles, haziness, and streaks are normal immediately after installation. These level out as the sun cures the tint. If you see something after the film has cured, please don't hesitate to contact us.

  • Cure time typically takes 3-5 days, but up to 30 days in cooler or humid weather. During this time, avoid rolling down windows (for 3-5 days minimum) or cleaning them (30 days minimum)(interior only, exterior can be cleaned).

Tint Shade vs Visibility

  • Darker tint ≠ invisibility. Even the darkest shades won't make the interior 100% private (though certain shades get pretty close) - especially at night when interior lights are on.
  • Visibility from inside will vary depending on lighting conditions. At night, darker tints can reduce visibility.

Tint Shade vs Heat Rejection

  • Dark tint is not necessary to provide heat rejection. Our hybrid and ceramic tint offer better heat rejection than the darkest carbon tints - even at shades as light at 70%. It is possible to have a cooler vehicle while maintaining visibility.

Heat Rejection Expectations

  • Tint doesn't block heat instantly like turning on AC - it works over time by blocking infrared rays and reducing cabin heat buildup.

  • Ceramic tints offer better heat performance than carbon or dyed options, but even they won’t make your car feel like a fridge.

Cosmetic Perfection

  • Tint won’t fix scratched or damaged glass. In fact, if you have imperfections on your glass such as hard water spots or scratching, the tint may make them more obvious. We do offer glass polishing to remove light scratching and hard water spots if you are concerned about glass imperfections.

  • If your vehicle’s windows have old adhesive, prior film, or imperfections, we’ll do our best to clean them - but perfection isn’t always possible.

  • Minor specks or edge gaps can occur due to dirt in the seal or uneven edges on older glass.

Legal Compliance

  • We always recommend tint within state-legal VLT (Visible Light Transmission) limits.

  • We will install outside legal limits if the customer insists (and signs a waiver), but you are responsible for citations, not us.

Lifetime Warranty Limitations

  • Most films come with a lifetime manufacturer warranty, but this covers defects in the film itself - not damage from:
    • Rolling down windows too early
    • Scratching with ice scrapers
    • Pets or kids peeling at edges
  • The manufacturer warranty only covers installations within legal limits

  • We offer limited installation warranties for workmanship, which will be explained at the time of service.

Mobile Tinting Considerations

  • While we do our best to create shop-quality results, outdoor or mobile installations may be exposed to wind, dust, or pollen.

  • For the absolute cleanest results, we recommend having an indoor space for us to tint, or drop-off at our location when conditions are unfavorable.

Frequently Asked Questions

*How should I prepare my ride for service?*

We recommend removing personal belongings from the areas your technicians will be installing tint (including car seats & booster seats if the back is being tinted). This will make the process and install cleaner for both parties!

We also highly recommend giving your ride a bath before service. We live in a dry, dusty environment. While it is impossible to avoid every dust speck, we can reduce the amount of contaminants that land in your tint if we are starting with a clean surface. Don't have time to run it through a car wash or hand wash it yourself? We do offer detailing services as well.

*Why is UV protection important?*

For you and the ones you love:

Ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun don’t just damage your car - they’re also the #1 cause of skin cancer in the United States. In fact, up to 90% of all melanomas and nearly all other skin cancers are directly linked to UV exposure. Every year, more than 1.5 million cases of skin cancer are diagnosed, and over 120,000 lives are lost - many of which could have been prevented.

One in five Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime - and most of it is due to unprotected sun exposure. UV rays can pass through car windows, meaning you’re still at risk even while driving. That’s why quality window tint isn’t just about style - it’s about long-term health and protection.

For the ride you love:

UV rays can wreak havoc on a vehicle’s interior, causing leather, fabric, and plastic to fade, crack, or become brittle over time. Left unprotected, this damage can extend to electronics and trim components - reducing your vehicle’s resale value and long-term comfort. The best defense? Preventive care like high-quality window tint, UV-blocking sunshades, and protective sprays or conditioners designed to block harmful rays and keep your interior looking newer, longer.

*How long does it take for tint to cure?*

Typically, tint cures enough to operate the windows in 3-5 days, however, it can take up to 30 days to fully cure.

*How do I clean my tint?*

We recommend using an ammonia free, non-abrasive glass cleaner with a soft, lint free cloth. Please wait 30 days before cleaning your tint to account for cure time.

*Are your technicians certified?*

Yes - our technicians are 3M-certified professional installers ensuring top-tier craftsmanship, precision cuts, and lasting results.

*What vehicles can you tint?*

If it has windows - we can tint it. We service cars, trucks, RVs, boats, tractors, motorcycles, ATVs, aircraft, and more. Whether it’s a daily driver or a fleet vehicle, we’ve got you covered.

*Can you remove old tint?*

Yes, we offer tint removal services if you’re replacing outdated, bubbled, or damaged tint. We safely remove old film and adhesive before applying your new tint.

*Is window tint legal in Nebraska?*

Yes, but with some specific laws on how dark your tint can be. See our section on tint laws in Nebraska. Our techs can help you find the right tint for you - while staying within the legal limits.

*How does mobile tinting work?*

We bring all our own supplies, you provide the car and the space. While we can install tint outside - we do strongly recommend having an indoor space for us to apply the tint. We live in Nebraska, where the dust and wind is prevalent and unpredictable. If you (or a friend or family member) do not have an indoor space for us to use, we recommend using our pick up/drop off service (within 20 miles of Cozad), or bringing it to our location. If none of these options work for you, we would still love to tint your windows, just be mindful that you may see a few extra contaminants in your film, however, our techs will do their best to keep it out.
